Board Member
Harald Nusser has an entrepreneurial approach to collaboration across industry sectors, which drives his ongoing success for achieving sustainable business development on a global scale. Until recently he has been the Head of Global Patient Solutions at Gilead Sciences managing a global team overseeing 127 low- and middle-income countries. His focus is on pioneering sustainable business models to ensure that medicines for patients are affordable and accessible around the world.
Alongside his corporate career, Harald is also a Global Ambassador of the G20 Health and Development Partnership.
Prior to joining Gilead, Harald was Head of Novartis Social Business where he introduced and ran several industry leading programs during his six-year tenure, earning himself an award from the Schwab Foundation in 2019, recognized as Corporate Social Intrapreneur of the Year. In 2018, Harald supported the Defeat-Non-Communicable Diseases Partnership as a board member during its inception year, tackling the significant global health challenges in low-resource countries.
Harald’s earlier career also includes several roles with increasing seniority during a 10-year tenure with Bayer Pharmaceuticals, and six years with Schering Pharmaceuticals in Harald’s hometown of Berlin. Harald holds a PhD in Mathematics from Free University of Berlin and an Executive MBA from University of Bradford. He most recently completed Executive Education ‘Leadership for System Change: Delivering Social Impact at Scale’ at Harvard University.
