Country Director
Dr. Asma Yaroh Gali is a healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience in clinical, public health, maternal and child health in Niger and in several other African countries.
Holding a doctorate in medicine, a specialist study certificate in pediatrics, and a certificate in health program management, Dr. Gali has coordinated major projects, including the AmplifyPF regional project funded by USAID. She has led the development of strategic documents in maternal and child health as well as advocacy efforts with technical and financial partners and the community.
Prior to joining Pathfinder in 2018, Dr. Gali held several key positions in the Niger’s Ministry of Health System. She was the General Director of Public Health and Ambassador of Niger for the Campaign on Accelerated Reduction on Maternal Mortality in Africa (CARMMA). Dr. Gali is skilled in quality assurance, health care including the training of trainers; and in the management of maternal and child health and gender programs.
