In July 2016, with funding from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Pathfinder began operations to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights in Côte d’Ivoire. Pathfinder has extensive experience in contraception, maternal and newborn health, and adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health.
Pathfinder supports the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage (MSHP-CMU) through its various health programs to accelerate the reduction of maternal mortality, neonatal mortality, and unwanted pregnancies in Côte d’Ivoire. Through its projects, Pathfinder has established itself as a key partner for the Ministry of Health, providing thought leadership and technical assistance. Pathfinder continues to work alongside communities, partners, and stakeholders to realize its vision of a Côte d’Ivoire where all people of reproductive age, including adolescents and young people, make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive lives and exercise their right to comprehensive, quality sexual and reproductive care.
