Katherine Bourne is a consultant in global public health, with a particular interest in maternal, child and newborn health, reproductive rights and health, gender and HIV.
Ms. Bourne worked with Pathfinder International, as Country Representative in Vietnam and then as Director of Public Affairs. More recently, she worked with Pathfinder as a consultant.
Ms. Bourne also served as Vice President for International Policy and Regional Programs at the International Women’s Health Coalition, and Vice President for Country and Regional Programs at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, and with the United Nations Population Fund in Beijing. Ms. Bourne also taught for many years at the NYU Wagner School of Public Policy and the Bard Global and International Affairs Program.
Ms. Bourne is on the Board of Provide, an organization working with health and social service providers to ensure access to safe abortion.
