AIDS 2024, the 25th International AIDS Conference, will take place in Munich, Germany, and virtually from 22 to 26 July 2024. Pre-conferences will be held on 20 and 21 July. The Global Village (free entry) opens its gates on Sunday 21 July.
Pathfinder’s Arminda Zandamela, Technical Advisor for NGOs/CSOs Subcontracts, will present on the topic of “Strengthening the Capacity of the Movement of Sex Workers of Mozambique to Integrate and Sustain a Human Rights-Centered Approach to Addressing Gender-Based Violence” during the conference.

Arminda Zandamela is a sociologist with more than 17 years of experience in program management and capacity development, with an emphasis in civil society organizations. She has provided technical assistance to the National Healthcare System, National AIDS Council; Ministry of Interior; General Police Headquarters; National Prison Service; Ministry of Gender, Child, and Social Affairs; and more.
Currently, she serves as Technical Advisor for Pathfinder Mozambique, working toward improving access to SRHR, FP, and HIV services for vulnerable groups, including adolescent girls, young women, and key populations. She oversees community outreach activities and health quality service provision. Other key contributions include improving data for decision-making; developing improved quality of care standards for key population; organizing local initiatives to improve access to services and care; facilitating the development of Mozambique’s first Guideline for provision of prevention, care, and treatment for key populations; and more.
