Mohamed Abou Nar brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Pathfinder’s Interim President for South Asia, Middle East, and North Africa (SAMENA). With over 25 years in international development, Mohamed is a proven leader with a strategic vision. As Chief Organizational Growth Officer, he spearheaded Pathfinder’s growth, securing new mega projects and strategic initiatives. Mohamed has successfully led a $130 million annual portfolio across 20 countries, demonstrating his ability to handle complex global operations, and served ably as Chief Programs & Impact Officer and Senior Director for Pathfinder in Egypt.

Mohamed’s robust technical background encompasses SRHR, capacity building, systems strengthening, and monitoring & evaluation. This expertise allows him to collaborate effectively with governments and stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions across a range of crucial areas. A results-oriented leader, Mohamed motivates teams to exceed expectations and fosters strong relationships with ministries, securing government support at both national and local levels. His leadership style emphasizes a decentralized approach, focusing on teamwork with clear delineation of roles, close collaboration with implementing partners and regional counterparts, and well-defined systems and procedures.

Mohamed has a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration in the “Effect of Transformational Leadership on Integrated Systems Strengthening”, a MSC in Total Quality Management and business Excellence Models, an MBA in Projects Planning, Scheduling and Cost Control and a BSc in civil engineering. He is also certified as a quality management systems’ lead auditor and as an assessor by the European Foundation for Quality Management. A multi-lingual leader, Mohamed speaks Arabic, English, and French.
