Pathfinder International statement on conflict in Myanmar

Pathfinder International is driven by the conviction that all people, regardless of where they live, have the right to exist free from fear and stigma, and to lead the lives they choose. These rights can only be fulfilled by honoring fundamental freedoms upheld through democracy and the rule of law.

As a nongovernmental organization working in Myanmar, we call for an immediate halt to the deadly attacks on civilians, including women, young people, and health workers at the helm of the movement to restore peace and democracy. The right to peacefully assemble must be respected, all violence must cease, and democracy must be fully restored. We support all of those on the frontlines putting their lives at risk to call for a return to peace and justice, including the many women and young people. Their voices must be heard.
