The chaos and lawlessness at the U.S. Capitol yesterday shook the United States to its very core, threatening the bedrock of American democracy and the basic tenets of human decency and respect. At the end of what was a tumultuous, unnerving, and frightening day, the will of the people ultimately prevailed with the affirmation of President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris – but there is much work to do to restore faith in America and in each other. As an organization built on integrity, dignity, and respect for all people, Pathfinder will do just that. Our values compel us to be courageous in our ongoing fight for equality, health, human rights, and social justice. We will continue to boldly and bravely confront obstacles and inequities that stand in the way of creating a more just and equitable world – one where all people, regardless of where they live, what they believe or what they look like – can exist free from fear and live the lives they choose.
