Overview
Health Services Delivery Activity in Niger
USAID Kuwala improves health, family planning, and nutrition outcomes in Niger’s Maradi, Zinder, and Tillabéri regions—remote areas where the most basic health care services are largely out of reach. Pathfinder strengthens community engagement in family planning, supports health facilities to provide quality health services through digital health initiatives, and promotes gender equity.
Project Activities
- Increase the quantity and quality of health care services, including youth-friendly services, maternal and newborn care, and family planning services.
- Partner with communities, governments, and local health organizations to strengthen health systems and supply chains.
- Empower women, youth, and communities to form more equitable gender attitudes and norms through community engagement.
- Work with health providers to create norms and standards for gender-based violence prevention, integration of family planning services, and infection prevention.
