Project Goals
Raise awareness of SRH among adolescents and youth
Increase health providers’ knowledge and skills in sexual and reproductive health (SRH), comprehensive abortion care, and gender-based violence (GBV) services
Increase adolescent girls’ and young women’s access to SRH and GBV services through the community-based provision of services and communities’ knowledge and awareness
Overview
The project, which takes place in 12 districts across three provinces—Maputo City, Cabo Delgado, and Maputo provinces—reaches adolescent girls and young women with quality sexual and reproductive health services.
Pathfinder works with health authorities and communities to improve adolescent girls’ and young women’s access to quality sexual and reproductive health services and enhance their ability to exercise their right to bodily autonomy. To achieve this goal, Pathfinder raises awareness about sexual and reproductive health among young women ages 10-24, including where to access services; strengthens evidence-based sexual and reproductive health policies and guidelines; and trains providers to offer quality services.
