Dr. Sarosh combines experience as a public health practitioner and women’s rights advocate, with an in- depth understanding of how to deliver health services across diverse contexts in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Her innovative leadership style has contributed to multiple public-private and multisectoral partnerships across Pathfinder’s countries of operation.

Prior to becoming Interim CEO, Dr. Sarosh was Pathfinder’s first President, South Asia, Middle East, and North Africa. As President, she was accountable for Pathfinder’s work in Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Jordan, and Pakistan, a $180 million portfolio of locally led and owned global health programs.

Dr. Sarosh joined Pathfinder in 2016 as Country Director in Pakistan. In this role, her leadership exponentially increased Pathfinder’s impact on the lives of women and girls in Pakistan.

Dr. Sarosh’s expertise in advocacy led to national policy reforms in Pakistan that improved national curricula for lady health workers and midwives and included women’s health indicators in the national data health information system for the first time. She has been a strong advocate for grassroots movement building and a part of women’s rights movements across the Asia Pacific region.

Dr. Sarosh has a BS in medicine and surgery from Dow Medical College and a post-graduate diploma in nutrition. She is an alumna of the summer school on Women, Peace, and Security at the University of Leiden, Netherlands.. 

Leading Pathfinder, I am able to channel my experience as a feminist and an activist to improve the lives of women and girls. It’s a journey that holds a so much promise.
