Bill Tate is retired after a career working as staff to a Member of Congress for 23 years. Bill Tate is a longtime supporter of Pathfinder, and has served on the board. Tate was an Editorial Board Member and writer for The Ripon Forum, a bi-monthly journal of political commentary. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he served five years on active duty as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He and his wife, Susan, have two daughters and live in Alexandria, Virginia.
