Deputy Chief of Party, USAID Building Healthy Families Activity
Dr. Yousaf Hayat is a seasoned medical professional with a Master in Project Management (MPM) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Health Informatics. Currently serving as the Deputy Chief of Party for the “USAID-Building Healthy Families,” Dr. Hayat brings over 35 years of extensive experience in international and national development sectors. He has worked with renowned organizations such as Global Affairs Canada, John Snow Research & Training Institute Inc., CARE International, American Red Cross, United Nations, International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies, and Save the Children. He has successfully managed USAID and EU-funded projects across Central Asia and Pakistan, holding senior leadership roles that involved providing technical and managerial oversight across diverse program components and procurement initiatives.
Dr. Hayat is an expert in project management, operational partnerships, organizational development, health service delivery, behavior change communication, commodity security, community mobilization, and management information systems. He has contributed significantly to the management of health projects, health policy development, quality assurance, applied research, strategic planning, logistics, and supply chain management. His work prioritized strengthening collaborations with multilateral, bilateral, and governmental entities.
